We have some questions regarding the validation process in your country. Could you please explain the following: Questions regarding professional representative: 1. Is it required to register a representative, i.e. address of service, for the validated patent in your country? If yes: a. Is it possible to use an agent from another country to do the translation and to validate the patent in your country? b. If it is possible to use an agent from another country, do they need to be registered as a professional representative by your office? c. Is a Power of Attorney required to be the professional representative? i. If so, is a copy sufficient? ii. Is it possible to provide a general Power of Attorney? iii. What is the due date for filing the Power of Attorney? Question regarding the validation: 2. Are there any fees in regards to the validation?
