Tahkuna and Ristna lighthouses: Eesti Tuletorni Selts Site title and 2 sentences description, Lighthouses are an important part of the coastline which gives background and clear link to helping to ensure water safety. At the same time most industrial heritage of them are important industrial heritage sites, because of the ways they were manufactured. Tahkuna lighthouse was built in 1873 and was bought from World Exhibition in Paris in 1871 by tsarist Russia. Ristna lighthouse was mounted in 1874 from parts brought from manufactury in Paris. Nowadays the lighthouses are in use as attractive tourism sites offering nice views from the tower and feeling how to be in heights. What site will develop in the project, give Tahkuna lighthouse complex includes lighthouse and title and essence description f.e. two related buildings. During the project the Tahkuna “Educational programm for/ about….” … lighthouse area will be renewed to make it more etc….workshop “from …to….” attractive for visitors. Ristna lighthouse will be equipped with essential information. Tahkuna lighthouse fence will be renewed and repositioned to open the entrance to side building, where the electricity generators used to be to take the building into use as a cafe of offer some activities in it. The lighthouses will be equipped with stands explaining visually the technical history of the lighthouses. The stands will be in EST and summary in ENG and mounted on the walls of the fence and lighthouse. A themathical walking path around the Tahkukna lighthouse will be created using excisting paths nearby. Paths will be marked with small lighthouse signs and adjusted with benches equipped with audio-solutions wherefrom people can hear the stories related to the lighthouse and heritage of Hiiumaa. The stories will be in EST and ENG. The area will be prepared for geocatching and inserted to the geocatching database. During the project will be developed engaging activities for smaller and schoolchildren to attract more families to the sight. It will be a lighthouse story and easy crafts supporting the story.  Investment will help to create a new tourism product, which will increase the number of visitors and lengthen the stay. There will be easy orientation events, which increase the interest to get to know the area and give extra information for visitor through a fun activity. Information about other lighthouses on the island can be found as well.
