of Lithuania issued a decree that obliges all payment systems and banks in the territory of this
country to apply the following sanctions against citizens of the Russian Federation:
If a company, that has a corporate account in a payment system/bank under Lithuanian
jurisdiction, has citizens of the Russian Federation among its founders, then all transactions to
these accounts must be rejected and all funds currently held on these accounts must be
withdrawn in the near future.
The practice of imposing sanctions against Russia by European states is gaining momentum,
and payment systems located in the Czech Republic and Sweden also stop the practice of
onboarding clients with Russian citizenship.
