I have a couple of questions regarding the new licensing system for virtual asset service providers in Estonia. As stated on your website: “Under the proposed legislation, only companies who operate in Estonia or are connected to Estonia can apply for a license to operate as a VASP”. What does this “connection to Estonia” entail in practice, and what are the prerequisites for it to be fulfilled? I am presenting this enquiry because there is no further information on this topic in English on your website, nor do I have any knowledge in the Estonian language.
