Letter of Thanks
Dear Minister Purga,
With this letter comes our heartfelt thanks for the safe receipt of your grant to the European
Union Youth Orchestra. We greatly appreciate your raise of the grant to €8000,00 in 2026, which
helps us navigate inflation and rising costs, and a challenging financial environment for culture.
Your support plays a vital role in opening professional and personal opportunities for talented
young musicians, while bringing people together and fostering mutual understanding through the
power of making great music.
We have just returned from a very successful Spring Residency in Strasbourg, celebrating the 50th
anniversary of the Orchestra’s founding. I also hope you received and enjoyed your printed copy
of our 2025 Yearbook, also available online here.
Warm regards,
Marshall Marcus
Executive & Artistic Director
